Video Tutorial How To Reset Galaxy S3 Flash Counter (set to 0)

We have posted some tutorial on how to root and install CWM on your Galaxy S3 GT 9300. The root method is simple and allow your phones boot as normal without yellow warning triangle. But  Samsung Galaxy S3 remembers the number of times you update the Firmware. Oh…. This is one of the annoyances with the Samsung Galaxy S3 and all its variants when flashing custom ROMs and kernels is the flash counter, which is incremented every time you unofficially flash a firmware or a kernel.

gud one, if i were to boot to stock rom, does this triangle away still needs super users to enable permission? or just simply download the triangle away and then reset the counter?

  • Chris_GZ

If i have an Error and i have to send it back to my provider i just install the original rom. But if i have installed the original rom…does it works without root?? If it doesnt work without root…it have no use for me or anyone elso whos afraid because of his warranty.

Hi, Chris_GZ. This reset galaxy s3 Flash Counter Application only work on Rooted Galaxy S3.

      • Chris_GZ

Ok. But for what should i reset the counter then??? After resetting the counter and flashing back the original rom i will have a “1″ in my counter and my provider will see that. If the standart value in the counter is “1″ it doesent matter. But if it is “0″ i have a problem.

+2I’m just honestly waiitng for a GSM announcement. Otherwise, screw this phone.Verizon? Really, Google?Shot yourselves in the foot with that one..All I know is this phone is already about to be overshadowed by what comes next. I’m not gonna waste time + money on something that even Google doesn’t care enough about to launch successfully. At least the Galaxy S III are guaranteed globally. Idk. Maybe HTC might make a come back (I’m doubtful)Gotta love Android! :)

    • Geoffrey Fernandez

you could try flashing an official firmware, that COULD possibly solve it. and run the triangle away app once more to reset the binary count

      • Paruhang Chamling

Thanks. I fixed by flashing official firmware and factory resetting it.
